RSE

Relationship and Sex Education (RSE) in primary schools helps children develop the knowledge, understanding and skills they need to build positive, healthy and respectful relationships. Through age-appropriate lessons, pupils learn about friendships, families, kindness, respect, personal boundaries, online safety, and how to keep themselves safe. RSE also supports children's emotional wellbeing by helping them understand feelings, recognise trusted adults who can help them, and develop confidence in making safe and responsible choices. The curriculum is delivered sensitively and inclusively, ensuring that learning is appropriate to pupils' age and stage of development.

Parents/carers have the right to withdraw pupils from sex education (but not Relationships or Health Education). Parents/Carers have the right to request that their child be withdrawn from some or all of sex education delivered as part of statutory RSE, but not Relationships or Health Education. If you wish to do this, please get in contact with Mrs Westwell via the main school office.
