Robotical Coding
Year 4 were lucky enough to enjoy a hands‑on trial of Marty the Robot this week. Unlike coding on a screen or controlling a simple rolling robot, Marty’s humanoid design brings computing to life in an exciting and memorable way.
The children were amazed to see their code translate into real movement as Marty walked, danced, turned, kicked a ball and even wiggled their eyebrows. Each limb is individually powered, giving pupils the chance to explore genuine robotics and engineering principles while developing their coding skills.
It was a fantastic opportunity for Year 4 to experience robotics in action and see how programming can shape the world around them.
